I get asked this question a LOT by my clients and just had it again the other day: How do you know when it’s time to leave your job?
The reality is that (besides just simply leaving or not leaving) it often comes down to two options: change the job or change how you think about it. First, consider the role itself—does it align with the lifestyle you want and allow you to be your authentic self? If the job doesn’t meet these criteria, it may be time to move on. But if the issue is more about how you’re viewing the situation, ask yourself: Are your thoughts accurate, or could they be challenged? What if a shift in perspective could help you see things differently? If the job doesn’t fit who you are and what you need, a change is necessary. But if it’s mainly your mindset, there’s an opportunity to reshape your outlook for a better experience. Need to talk through your unique situation?
